The answer depends on the type of suture used. With regular (dissolvable) sutures, the stitch dissolves naturally within a few weeks. This often results in a softer, less pronounced dimple over time. It’s a good option for those who prefer a more subtle or potentially temporary effect. On the other hand, permanent (non-dissolvable) sutures are designed to remain in place indefinitely (varies per person). These provide a more defined and long-lasting dimple, making them ideal for clients seeking a consistent and enduring result. Dimpleplasty is a low-risk procedure with minimal recovery time. Most clients experience only mild swelling or bruising, which subsides within a few days. Many people return to work the next day.
